Education and Samkhya Philosophy



Concept of Education

- Human evolution is already present in human, Education drag it out only.

-Education provides the Knowledge of Difference between Prakriti and Purusha.

Objective of Education

  According to Samkhya, the ultimate objective of human life is to get salvation and this salvation is received from
-Knowing the Right Knowledge
-Knowing the difference between Prakriti and Purusha

Curriculum of Education

- Curriculum should be based on-
Physical and Spiritual aspects.
Age level of the Learner.
Learner’s Eligibility, Competency and Interest.
- Curriculum should be include- 
Training Process of Senses, Language, Literature, Social Science, Material Science and Mathematics should be included in the Curriculum to Develop Mind.

Interpretational Subjects (Geometry etc.), Logic should be positioned in Curriculum for Adolescence Age Group Children.

Physiology, Ayurveda,  Science and Astrology for Develop the Intellectual Ability.

Yoga Practice for know the self soul.

1.Pratyaksha (Direct)
2.Anumana (Guessing)
3.Shabda (Statement)

Methods of receiving knowledge
1.Direct  : Pratyaksha
2.Guessing  : Anumana
3.Statement : Shabda

Discipline 
According to Sankhya, the one who follows
5 vows of Yoga (Truth, Non-violence, Anti-theft, No storage of things and Celibacy)
5 rules (5- Sanitation, Satisfaction, Tenacity, Self study, Worship)
  he/she will be a disciplined self.
Samkhya’s clear opinion is that without following the discipline, human cannot make his body, mind and knowledge healthy

Teacher 
Samkhya looks a Master as Adapt person.
Teacher should be Expert in his subject.
If he knows the difference between Prakriti and Purusha, then it is better than the best
Teacher must have clear knowledge of sources to obtain knowledge and he must be capable to develop knowledge.
Sankhya also preaches to teacher to follow discipline.

Student
Samkhya respects the personality of student.
Samkhya supports the overall development of student.
Student has self-element along with the Prakriti-element - Sata, Raja and Tama properties.
Student should be the Follower of  the Discipline.
Student should be Morally Able, in that condition student can gain the knowledge of matter and self-element.

School
Where master (Teacher) was, arrangements for Education were there.
According to Sankhya philosophy, schools should develop in the form of- 
Development of Physical Knowledge
Yoga process.
